Semester 1

Overview:
This semester lays the foundation for learning Graphics skills.

Objective:
To prepare the student to acquire concepts of digital graphics and equip them with thorough knowledge of creating, image-editing and publishing graphics for various industries.

Learning outcomes:
Visualization of imagery, creating digital graphics, editing and optimizing of graphics for the web, print and publishing including digital printing, and  broadcast media

Fundamentals of Computer, Multimedia & Internet:
Understand basic working of Computer, Operating System, Multimedia and fundamentals of Internet

Concepts of Graphics:
Learn important design techniques, composition & typography. Understand conceptual knowledge  about elements of art such as texture, color theory

Basic Art:
Drawing skills of students will improve using the drawing work book.

Creating Illustrations – I & II :
Create graphics for product designs, business graphics, logo designing, Brochures, and corporate presentations

Image Magic – Print & Web:
Learn image-editing tools, edit and retouch images, apply special effects, adjust color balance and rapidly produce dynamic graphics for the Web with interactive buttons and rollovers.

SPECIALIZATION – ADVERTISING FOR PRINT

Concepts in Advertising:
Learn the concepts and principles in print advertising, Type of Advertising, Images in Advertising and Computer Applications in advertising.

Media Publishing:
Learn to create digital artwork for print. Explore the possibilities of creative tools, paint effects and text appearances to secure a design with clarity.

Project Guide – I:
Students will complete simulated project in Print and Publishing

Knowledge Enhancement – I:
Student is given value addition in the field of OCR, Voice Recognition, CD- writing

Project:

Overview:
This semester continues to enhance skills in dynamic Multimedia, Web site designing and integrating it for various applications.

Objective:
Prepares the student to acquire skills in dynamic multimedia elements like audio, video  and  authoring, applying them  for effective multimedia production.

Learning outcomes:
Storyboard writing, develop streaming audio,record and edit audio files, create video content and produce streaming video for the web,  enrich video content by applying  effects , prepare it for post-production job, develop CBT’s, CD-Rom’s and create interactive web sites.

Story boarding:
Student learns the entire process of developing a project systematically.

Working with Audio:

Acquire skills in non-linear editing and producing  streaming Videos for  the Web.

Programming Fundamentals:
Student learns the fundamentals of conditional statements, loops and flowcharting.

Graphics and animation with Flash:
Learn to create animated graphics, designing interactive elements, add sound and integrate movies  in your Web Sites.

Scripting with Flash:
Learn to create animated graphics, designing interactive elements, add sound and integrate movies  in your Web Sites.

Web Weaver :
Learn a professional visual editor for creating and managing Web sites and pages. Create and edit cross-platform, cross-browser pages.

Project Guide – II:
The student completes simulated project in CBT Development/Multimedia Application.

Knowledge Enhancement – II:
Students learns the various compression logics and codec.

Objective:
Prepares the student to acquire skills for visualizing and mastering  3D Animation & Character Design.

Develop broadcast quality Animation.

Classical Animation:
Understanding the basic principles of classical animation

Concepts of Animation:
Acquire the basic principles of Animation, Types of Animation, story boarding in Animation, Character Design and rendering.

Drawing & Animation with Toon Boom Studio:
Create resolution-independent animation, Create a library of animated elements and animated sequences , Create new 3D trajectories for elements and camera.

Modeling with 3D:
Learn all the information about the interface, and tools used to create and model 3D objects. Also learn 3D object modeling techniques.

Lights, Camera and Animation:
Learn the effects of lights , materials and colors on 3D objects and the combination of them with other scene features to create visually realistic 3D Scenes

Painting 3D Objects:
Learn to paint 3D objects.

Character Animation and Visual Fx:
Learn animation of 3D objects. Understand the effects of animating complex models and objects. Animation techniques to produce character movies that is generally seen in world class commercial and movies.


SPECIALIZATION – Digital Film Making and Sp. FX

Concepts in Digital Film Making:
Comprehend all the conceptual elements of Digital Film Making and Editing with the core areas of  compositing including tracking and stabilizing.

Digital Fx:
Learn the art of digital composting and mixing of clips with professional visual effects. Feel the power of plugins which makes the Visual Fx feel real.

Project Guide – III:
Student does a project in 3D modeling, Animation and Visual FX.

Knowledge Enhancement – III:
Walk through virtual reality
